Installed elevator hinge and updrilled all pilot holes. While laying out the elevator hinge, I had the elevator assembly clecoed for centering alignment. Installed the mating half of the hinge (T04-13) on the horizontal stabilizer aft spar channel. Installed the hinge pin through left and right elevators as well as the aft spar and mating hinges and marked the end of where the elevator hinge should be. Removed the spar channel and hinge. Using 0.057" thick washers as spacers, aligned the referance marks and clamped the hinge on the end of the elevator. Through drilled several holes along the hinge. Re-attached elevator and hinge to the spar hinge assembly to be sure everything was still aligned before drilling all the hinge holes. Finally got all hinge holes updrilled and everything is still well aligned.
Slightly enlarged the small hole (<3/16") at the inboard leading edge of the left elevator to insert a small plastic conduit in case of future wiring into the elevator (like an electric trim tab).
Finished de-burring. Next step is to start riveting the elevator assembly.
